Create a Flickr Drive Extension To Get More From Flickr
Flickr is a photo sharing site. It has numerous social media features which make it very simple to post your content, add it to groups, discuss it with others, etc. It supports all types of cameras as well as files from applications like PhotoShop and PaintShop Pro. They recently added the ability to share movies.
Today we have come up with a free software which can be used to make a flickr drive extension in you “My Computer” so you can manage all your content easily and effectively.
Flickr Drive is a free tool, compatible with Windows Vista and higher, that lets you easily manage your Flickr content including pictures and videos outside the internet browser, seemingly offline! What this tool masterfully does is make a virtual drive of your Flickr account. You can then open the drive and access your photos just like the drive belonged to one of your flash drives.

When you’ll open the drive for the first time, it’ll question you to place in your flickr username and after that the drive will presents you with picture folders which, once you open them, receive the data from Flickr and show you the pictures. Here’s how the thumbnail view of “Today’s Hot Tags” folder in the “Public Folder” looks like, all loaded up:

From this view, you can open any photograph you like and it will use your default program to open. Then use your program to save the photograph. Or, in an simpler fashion, just drag the photos out of this folder into one really on your PC. Whatever you do, there’s just no need to open your internet browser!
As you can drag photos out to save them, you can drag photos in to add them to your Flickr account. This certainly makes it a lot more convenient.
You can also use this tool to browse photos of the Flickr accounts of your friends and family members, by simply adding accounts to the root of the Flickr Drive folder.
